Luar X Lyft X Poppi

Luar Spring Summer 2027 Runway Show

Raul Lopez tops himself again by hosting his Spring Summer 2027 Collection in Queens Corona Park, a monumental moment under an iconic New York landmark, the 120 feet Unisphere seen in movies such as Men in Black. Lopez always pays homage to his New York roots by showcasing his collections around the glorious city of New York.

Luar collaborated with Poppi and Lyft this season bringing everyone to Queens in style with a “LUARWORLD” Lyft code, that quite literally lifted everyone from their homes to the runway. Fashion week moves fast and this location being a distance, this was the perfect collab to bring invited guests in style, Black cars and chauffeurs, straight to the runway. The experience itself was fabulous, they had a black carpet with photographers waiting as you arrived, mirrors for selfie ops and escorts leading guests to their seats, awaiting a refreshing Poppi drink in their seats. The fashion girlies are all for glamorized gut health and healthy alternatives and having Poppi as the beverage of choice was the cherry on top.

Raul’s inspiration for this collection paid homage to 15th and 16th century, retaking colonization and making it his own. The invitation alone was baby Raul in a diaper and black leather boots titled “The Christopher Street Columbus”; merging Christopher Columbus and Christopher Street where Lopez originated into a powerful statement. The clothing alone stood out, alongside the expressive makeup that each model were fabulously painted in. The Ballooned pants, ruffled bloomers, leather jackets, structured silhouettes, wrapped high necklines, are a few of many details that made this collection outstanding.
